That pizza does look good! Think I will give it one more week before I head in.....unless my wife and daughter want pizza.

Hey Sunshine, could you get a copy of that menu in our local eatery section. That way it's there for good. :2thumbup:

OK, so I debated waiting a week, or going for it. Well, the wife and I decided to go for it, especially after pretty strong endorsements by Hoss and Sunshine.

We had a pizza and side salad. Peperoni, black olive, and mushrooms..........and it was goooodd! My wife loved the sauce and thought that their pasta should be good if this was an indicator. We brought the pizza home and my daughters first comment was "mmmm, that smells good!" Then she said " ...and it looks good too." Finally, "mmmm that's good!"

Very good pie, not the best I've ever had, but the best in a while, and the best around here in my opinion. They are most likely going to have some off days, so give them a chance, the product on this night does stand out. And I wish them success...selfishly 'cuz I want more! One wish was for a beer, they only have non-alk beverages. But, the water was good too, as I don't drink soda. Some places around here serve nasty unfiltered tap water.

Thanks Hoss and Sunshine, glad we didn't wait, that would have been time that I was "missing out."

Grabbed another pie (pizza) to go on the way home tonight. They were packed. I felt sorry for all that had to wait, as well as for the staff that looked overwhelmed.

Anybody visit Pallavicino's lately? I heard they are going to have many more items on the menu soon... including desserts.

I took the intern there about a week ago. The owners told me from the beginning the plan was to go small on the menu, see what people like and what they don't and then expand the choices.

If you think about it that's a good way to do business. GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT!

My personal request would be a white sauce lasagna, I didn't see that on the menu when I took the intern.

It's so nice to have a fresh, new restaurant in Los Banos. I commute to the bay but if I eat out after work it's a looong drive home to my fiance's place in LB. We're so lucky to have them here. I pray they are well received. I loved the Canoli. White sauce lasagne sounds..interesting..I'd like to try that but for me I like to save room for fresh coffee and dessert! The owner's wife makes me Italian soda! She gave me something to try the other day I'd never heard of called "Limonata" It looked like an Italian soda but it was lemony and mildly sweet. I love that place! Such nice people- C

I've read all your reviews and am so grateful for your kind remarks! We have a well rounded standard menu but offer a vast variety of chef's choice items daily. In response to Charles request we will prepare an alfredo lasagne to order and as for desserts..people don't usually have room for heavy Italian coffee and rich desserts after Ant's entree's and he teases me constantly. I just love my coffee and ricotta creams and I want people to enjoy them and feel the fulfillment Anthony feels when people enjoy the wonderful meals he prepares (Yes, an Italian cooks the Italian food at our restaurant so don't worry I only serve the food and make desserts lol). I have an idea though to commemorate my remembering the password to this forum after 3 months lol and to celebrate my 32nd birthday this Sunday, August 8, 2010..I'll add a coffee and dessert to any entree for..ohh..$1.99 if you mention you're from "losbanoslive.com" and I invited you :)  Jessica Lo Presti

PS. I can see my husband shaking his head already (he thinks I'm eccentric) but it's my birthday and I can make an unselfish present to myself afterall can't I? :tea:  Happy birthday to me!  :tea:

Hagar fan now has Queen stuck in my head. Now I'll have to multi-task and download some music while I watch baseball tonight.
