The Los Banos Arts Council is offering a real treat to the community with as two day Old Fashioned Christmas Markets on Saturday December 10 from 10-7 and Sunday December 11 from 10 -5. The event will be hosted at the Ted Falasco Arts Center. The celebration of the holidays is geared towards the enjoyment of the whole family offering homemade reasonably priced gifts,decorations and food as well as free entertainment. Many local artists will have some of their treasures for sale for a one of a kind gift for that someone special
For the children there will be a Craft Table for a small fee,letters for Santa, Santa, and a sale of gently used items for no more than two dollar each, so your children can shop for you as well.
A highlight of the event will be the Opportunity Drawing for the first Two Community Christmas Trees. These are two artificial trees donated by Santos Ford and Theresa Bartholemew of Coldwell Banker, decorated by ornaments donate by members of all sections of Los Banos. These are going to be amazing., beautiful trees and can be yours if you have the lucky Opportunity Christmas Tree ticket. These tickets are available now from any Arts Council Board member for a requested donation of five dollars, or you can call Diana Ingram at 826-0874 or 827-0667. The drawing will take place at 3 on Sunday December 11, and you need not be present to win. There is still time to turn in your donated ornament with your business card ,or school or club or church or family name. We have made it easier for you and have a wide selection of ornaments you can purchase at our cost. Just call me and I will have someone show them to you or send a check to Diana Ingram at 703 Page with your information. Have your name on the giant Christmas card and be apart of the holiday spirit. The Christmas Market Committee consists of McKensie Hoskins, Linda Brown, Debra Ownen, Robin Popiolkowski, and Diana Ingram.
Among the entertainment will be Mayor Mike Villalta reading the Night Before Christmas, Christmas karaoke by John Cates, singing by Gene and Christine Brandi of Saint Joseph Catholic Church, the musical talents of Karla Scott of United Methodist Church, piano playing by Marion Lissotto of Anglican Episcopal Church, students from Pacheco High School, students from Los Banos Junior High School, a reading of the customs of Christmas from his book by Father Barry of New Bethany.

All proceeds of the two day event will help the Los Banos Arts Council continue to bring the community concerts, classes, exhibits, shows, plays, and opportunities so we can enjoy the wide world of the fine arts that so enrich our lives. We are YOUR Arts Center and our goal is to bring all the community together.
