In Loving Memory: Agnes C. Cardoza

Agnes C. Cardoza was born April 19, 1918 in Newman, and passed away November 29, 2018, she lived 100 wonderful years.
Agnes lived in the country most of her life first on her father’s farm; and then on a dairy farm with her husband; settling in town for over 30 years. She married Joe C. Cardoza in 1936 and they had two children. Agnes helped out at the dairy, took pride in her home and children as a homemaker; she was an accomplished seamstress, enjoyed bowling in the local Los Banos leagues, belonged to the Native Daughters of the Golden West, Y.L.I., and St. Joseph’s Catholic Church; and she also worked as a secretary for Finance and Thrift for over 20 years.
Agnes is preceded in death by her husband, Joe. C. Cardoza; her siblings: Ed Fagundes and Maria Norton; one grandchild, Kurt Salha; and her son-in-law Herman Salha.
Survivors include her children: Marlene Salha of Los Banos; Melinda Gouguet and her husband Jerry Hadfield of Oakland; Grandchildren: Rhett (Arlene)Salha, Grant (Lisa) Salha, Nicole Gouguet, and Jules (Muriel) Gouguet; Great grandchildren: Travis (Nikki) Salha, Nathan Salha, Jarred Salha, Hailey Salha, Taylor Salha, and Lou Gouguet; and Great Great grandchildren: Douglas Salha and Juliette Salha.
