In Loving Memory of Harold “Hal” Lagmay

October 9, 1948 – December 9, 2011
Harold “Hal” Lagmay was born in Honolulu, Hawaii to Rufino and Mildred (Pang) Lagmay on October 9,1948. On December 9, 2011, he passed away peacefully with his wife and daughter at his side.
Hal enjoyed spending time at the gym, watching football and wrestling, BBQing for friends and family, and playing with his grandsons.
Hal was employed at Joseph Gallo Farms as a purchasing agent for 20 years.
He was actively involved in a number of community organizations, such as LBPD’s Volunteers In The Advancement of Law (VITAL) enforcement, Youth Accountability Board of Merced County, Los Banos Filipino-American Club, Elks Lodge, and Golden Agers.
Hal’s infectious smile garnered many friends. To some he was a football coach, to others a workout partner, and to others a mentor.
Hal is survived by his loving wife Margie; daughter Amy Verity, son-in-law Mike Verity, and grandsons Ryan and Jack Verity of Fullerton, California; and brothers Philip Lagmay of Honolulu, Hawaii and Gene Lagmay of Ewa Beach, Hawaii.
Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Evangelical Free Church, Los Banos beginning at 11:00 a.m.  Contributions can be made to MHLB’s foundation c/o Michelle Marchese in memory of Hal, 520 West I St., Los Banos, CA 93635 or charity of choice.
