Sherry Pearson to serve Soroptimist Board of Directors

PHILADELPHIA, Pa., — Sherry Pearson of Los Banos, Calif., will serve a two-year term on the board of directors for Soroptimist, a global volunteer organization of women who work to economically empower disadvantaged women and girls. As a board member, Pearson will participate in strategic planning and program development to increase the organization’s collective impact on women and girls around the world.
Pearson is a member of Soroptimist International of Los Banos, one of 1,300 clubs. A member since 1995, Pearson has held several leadership positions at all levels of the organization including region governor and secretary; district director; and club president, corresponding secretary and recording secretary.
Pearson is the owner and manager of Pearson’s Jewelers. She attended the Gemological Institute of the Americas in Santa Monica, Calif., where she studied jewelry and diamonds. In addition to her Soroptimist activities, Pearson volunteers with the Los Banos Women’s Auxiliary of the American Legion and is a charter member of the Los Banos Downtown Association. She is also a member of the Independent Jewelers Organization.
