Last weekend, Los Banos FFA had fifteen members travel to Fresno for the 85th annual State FFA Leadership Conference. The four day conference was home to 5,000 FFA members all across the state. At this conference, members took part in leadership and agricultural workshops, attended sessions where they listed to keynote speakers, watched our state and national officers in action, attended a concert by Love and Theft, and took part in various competitions.
The Small Engines team placed third in the state, and AJ Coronel placed third high individual. The Dairy Judging Team took first place in the state, where Paul Borba placed fourth high individual and Colleen Allen placed third. The Dairy Products and Best Informed Greenhand teams also competed well. Great job!
In addition, we had two members who vied for state titles though an application, portfolio, and interview process. Our first member was Jared Price. Jared received the State Agricultural Education Proficiency award for all of his hard work in informing the public about agricultural education. Congratulations Jared!  For full article, please purchase a copy of The Paper.
